While you can always use premade drum sounds from drum machines or samples, synthesizing your own drums opens up new worlds of percussive possibilities. Join Naomi Mitchell for a broad overview of synthesizing drum sounds from scratch. The techniques covered are applicable to a broad range of hardware and software synthesizers. Whether you are an analog purist, or only work in a DAW, drum synthesis is fun, rewarding, and easier than you might expect.

Additional Information: This event prioritizes all marginalized genders, including but not limited to trans women, cis women, trans men, non-binary, intersex, gender nonconforming, two-spirit and questioning folx.
